I took this picture last spring...
Today, a large male ran across the front yard.
(I was concerned about Bolt's whereabouts,
so I didn't grab my camera)
He stopped and turned several times and stared toward the house... he could see us in the windows.
They're beautiful animals, he had a nice thick winter coat already ...and looked very healthy....but it gave me the chills to see him look into the house like he did.

It's been getting down in the low 30's at night. I'm sure food is becoming scarce for them.
I need to keep a closer eye on my doggie....

Anon- There was an old white truck (Acme?) parked on the side of the road the other day. A roadrunner was sitting on top of the cab. I could almost hear the Looney Tune music begin to play. haha.
